Bali top luxury villas discounts up to 85 %

Bali top luxury villas discounts up to 85 %

Bali luxury villas discounts up to 85 % with a private pool, tropical gardens and a large terrace overlooking a lush green river valley in central Bali.  Kadek Wisana's three-bedroom villa usually goes for $100 a night. Now Wisana has slashed the rent to $400 a month, and still he can't find tenants, with over three-quarters of Bali's 100,000-strong expat population fleeing in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, which has devastated the Indonesian resort island's tourism industry. "Business was good," said Wisara. "It was occupied most of the time until the coronavirus stopped tourism."Wisara is one of scores of Bali villa owners offering discounts of up to 85% in a desperate bid to earn even a small amount of rent to help pay the bills.

The roughly 4,000 luxury villas on the island -- more than any other Asia-Pacific location, according to a 2019 report by villa-finder.com -- fetched an average of $220 per night before the onset of the pandemic. But double-digit rental yields and astronomical capital gains may be a thing of the past.

One four-bedroom whitewashed Spanish-style villa in the beachfront enclave of Seminyak, which comes complete with housekeeping staff, is now being offered for $1,100 a month, while the owners of a two-story townhouse in Ubud are asking for $500 a month. Last year, both properties fetched more than three times as much.

t," said Bill Barnet of C9 Hotelworks, a market research firm based in the Thai resort of Phuket. "Asian economies like Taiwan and South Korea will follow because they are much less sensitive to pandemics than the West. But with Australians -- the island's second-largest source of tourists and the most common renters of villas -- not even allowed to leave Australia before the end of the year, and Europe also still reeling from the impact of the pandemic, others are not so optimistic.

"You can't even get on a plane now, and when you can, people will think long and hard about holidaying overseas," said Georgeson, who is now back on Australia's Gold Coast after he followed Australian government warnings to return home. "The best case for a partial rebound in Bali is at the end of the year. Beyond the supply-side questions is the more far-reaching issue of how the pandemic will play out in Bali itself, which has recorded only around 400 COVID-19 cases and four deaths.

But with one of the world's poorest testing rates -- only 940 tests per million in Indonesia compared with 5,380 per million in Thailand and 16,121 in South Korea -- medical experts say it's difficult to explain the low infection rates.

In a worst-case scenario, Bali's property market may start to recover only once a vaccine becomes widely available up to three years from now.But in a local economy that depends on tourism for up to 80% of its revenue, such a lengthy economic hibernation could trigger a wave of panic property sales. We can't say anything has crashed yet," said Georgeson. "That may change if lots of owners start having issues with cash flow in their home countries. But for now, I just see people sitting back and waiting. The Royal Villa at the Four Seasons Resort in Ubud, where Julia Roberts stayed while filming "Eat, Pray, Love" in 2009.
Investment consultant Nilsen said some cracks in the market are already starting to show.

"A few people are telling us they need to sell," said Nilsen, adding that other crises such as the 2002 Bali bombings and active volcanoes have shown that some expats will always be overexposed.

Looking ahead to a post-COVID-19 world, Bali may find itself the destination of choice for a new class of digital nomads who have glimpsed the benefits of working from home and don't want to go back to working in an office.

"Digital nomads are the key market that emerged from our recovery meetings with my partners," said Will Meyrick, a Scotsman who owns various restaurants and villas in Bali. "When all this is over, a lot more people will want to live outside of cities in places with warm climates like Bali."

In the past, we have seen Jakartans with large amounts of cash coming into the market to take advantage and buy up, but this time could be different because Jakartans have been affected, too," he said.

Balinese outraged after Uluwatu beach refusal

Balinese outraged after Uluwatu beach refusal

Balinese outraged after Uluwatu beach refusal by local resident who aggressively screamed  "bloody murder " to three  Balinese girls when they asked why the beach is only open for foreigners . The discriminant incident happened at the entrance of Thomas Beach at Uluwatu on Sunday June 6 th 2020 at 2 PM.   The Balinese born female named Putry Soemarsono manager of Restaurant "Beer & Pizza " in Canggu  planned together with two other female  friends  to walk down the staircase to reach Thomas Beach. She posted her story below on Facebook  what went viral immediately and commented by many Balinese people as incomprehensible when only foreigners are welcome on several Uluwatu beaches .

Putry Soemarsono story  below

----------------

2 PM this afternoon me and my 2 local girlfriends went to an Uluwatu beach and before we even got to the entrance of the beach, a local man yelled at us “WHERE THE F...  YOU THINK YOU’RE GOING” in bahasa. I told him we’re going to the beach. He aggressively answered “YOU CAN NOT GO. IF YOU DON’T F..... OFF NOW I WILL REPORT YOU”. I politely asked why we can not go, as so many bule around us can go in without him yelling at em. He kept yelling at us telling us to fuck off literally SCREAMING BLOODY MURDER. We walked away.
Apparently, Bali governer made a “rule” Uluwatu beaches are ONLY open for foreigners. Allegedly they said it’s because these foreigners have been stressed out because they’ve been quarantining at home for 3 months.
Don’t even for a second think racism only happens outside Indonesia. Well done Bali!

Bali new normal tourists wants first from nearby countries

Bali new normal tourists first from nearby countries such as Thailand, Myanmar, and Vietnam, once the province is reopened for international visitors under the new normal protocols. The industry and all stakeholders engaged in tourism and the creative economy in Bali are currently preparing for the new normalization of tourism by implementing hygiene, health, and safety protocols, said secretary of the Association of Indonesian Tours and Travel Agencies (Bali),

I Putu Winastra, in a statement received here on Saturday. The protocol will be applied to every tourism sector, including transportation, accommodation, restaurants, and all tourism objects," he informed. The protocol has been prepared based on visitors’ travel profiles, and focuses on three things: cleanliness, health, and safety.Under the protocol, tourists planning to visit Bali would have to carry some documents, including a statement declaring them COVID-19 free, their itinerary, and details of their arrival date. There are also health protocols and standard operational procedures that would need to be enforced when tourists arrive at the airport, during their tour, right up till they fly back to their home countries. In terms of market segmentation, I Putu Winastra said, countries closest to Indonesia, such as Thailand, Myanmar, and Vietnam, could become the mainstay for Bali's tourism once the province is opened to the international market. In the beginning,

we will focus on the domestic market, but when the international market opens, we expect tourists from nearby countries, such as Thailand, Myanmar, and Vietnam,"And of course, Bali will not be entirely opened just yet. A pilot project is set for the Nusa Dua area," Winastra noted.Meanwhile, regional CEO for the Greater Jakarta Region at PT Garuda Indonesia, M Yansverio, said Bali is a prime destination for Garuda Indonesia, both for domestic and international flights. Garuda Indonesia is ready to support the industry and government in developing tourism in Bali, once the government decides to reopen the area for tourism, he added. To welcome the new normalcy, Garuda Indonesia has applied the protocols of Cleanliness, Health, and Safety (CHS), and explained the requirements that must be met by those traveling by airplane," he informed. Deputy of marketing at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Nia Niscaya, said it is important to maintain confidence in Indonesia's image by conveying policies as well as latest information about tourist destinations in Indonesia, and help the tourism industries of Thailand, Vietnam, and Myanmar to maintain cooperative relations with Indonesia in face of the new normal.

It is important for Indonesia to provide an update on tourism products to industries in Thailand and Indochina regarding what Indonesia has done to prepare tourist destinations to welcome returning foreign tourists in future. She further explained that the ministry has prepared a standard protocol as a guide for all tourism stakeholders in the CHS program. We hope that the tourism industry players in Thailand, Vietnam and Myanmar get the picture in regard to the implementation of the new normal protocol, in this case, the CHS protocol, in Indonesia, especially Bali. That way, they can provide insights regarding t Stop-Standing-Around-Waiting.jfe.jpg
