Male model convicted for drugs charges fled Briton taunting police by posting holiday pics of luxury lifestyle in Bali

Heavily-tattooed Murrell, who hit the headlines earlier this year when a mangled Google translation of a police wanted appeal described him as having 'potatoes on his chest', has been posting pictures from the Indian Ocean island for several weeks.

Terrence Murrell, 30, from London, was jailed for 37 months in his absence at Caernarfon Crown Court on Tuesday 30/10/2018.

He had previously admitted conspiracy to supply a controlled drug and possession with intent to supply.

Prosecuting counsel Sarah Badrawy said Murrell had made more than £220,000 from the supply of steroids.

The court heard Murrell, who told police he was a model, was now leading the life of a tourist on the island of Bali and had been seen in photos on Facebook.

Ms Badrawy said drugs worth almost £2m had been seized and the gang were thought to have made £1.2m profit in two years.

The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said 15 defendants conspired to import, produce and then sell steroids and hormone tablets around north Wales, London and Leeds and on a number of websites.

The drugs ring was broken after customs officials intercepted a number of parcels addressed to the defendants or bogus business addresses they were using to hide the conspiracy, the CPS added.

The parcels were found to contain raw steroids and other items used in the manufacture and distribution of the drugs.

Judge Huw Rees said the case involved a "very extensive criminal operation" with steroids imported from Hong Kong and China.

Mount Agung himself continuing to show seismic activity for the last 3 days.

Things have been picking up a bit since the M2.5 (amplitude 23 mm) local tectonic earthquake centered north of the crater late on 23 October. While this is not a large quake, it was roughly in the area where experts believe Agung’s magmatic chambers are located. Since that quake, there has been an increase in both deep and shall tremors inside the volcano which taken together could indicate there is some recharging going on. PVMBG has reported tremors in the crater associated with venting gasses although we haven’t seen much of any gas clouds – just one report since the tectonic quake and that rose only 20 meters above the crater. The seismic activity has all been small – maximum amplitude 10 mm on the seismograph – until this morning when they reported two deep volcanic tremors in the midnight-06:00 period with somewhat larger amplitudes of 12 and 16 mm. Volcanoes are always unpredictable, but I’m very sure they are keeping a close eye on this. The warning for Gunung Agung remains at Level III (Siaga) with a 4 km exclusion zone around the crater.
