Uluwatu temple still safe to visit, even with visible cracks on the cliff rock.

Uluwatu temple still safe to visit, even with visible cracks on the cliff rock.
Photographs of cracks on the cliffs of Uluwatu Temple, Bali, have been circulating on social media lately.
BPBD of Bali Province ensures that the cracks have been long and have been patched.

The circulating photos were taken from a height and showed the Uluwatu Temple seen from the upper side. Visible side of the cliff crack circled and given a question mark 'Uluwatu Temple cracked ??'.

Acting Secretary of the BPBD of Bali Province Made Rentin with the permission of the Kalaksa BPBD of the Province of Bali to explain the cracks for a long time.
Info from Jero Gede that the cracks have been there for many years , but the cause is unknown. If you want to know in detail, you need to do in-depth research and assessment by competent parties (geology)/ Made Rentin said when asked for confirmation.

Made said, based on information from the Uluwatu Pura stakeholders, there was no additional stretch on the cracks. He also believes that Uluwatu Temple is still safe to visit.

"These cracks are not new or in other words have been like this for a long time, there is no movement in the sense that they are stretchy, so Astungkara is safe, said Jero Gede (my mangku)," he explained.

Made explained, some time ago, the local government had patched the cliff gap. But there are still a number of points that are less patched so the cracks are still clearly visible.

The steps have been taken by the Badung Regency Government, by filling in the crack gap, during AA Gde Agung's leadership with Sudikerta (ex-Deputy Governor of Bali), it began to be discussed because there was a arrangement so that there were some points that were still gaping (maybe missed ) during the first patch, "he explained.

Made appealed to visitors who came to Uluwatu Temple to remain vigilant. He also confirmed that until now there were no restrictions on the number of visitors to the Uluwatu Temple.

"Restrictions on visitors may not be, because Bali is like a magnet, it is very difficult to limit especially forbid them to visit, maybe more to the appeal that all visitors are more careful and keep alertness that will come,  Made said that the cliff repairs were under the authority of the Badung Regency Government as a related stakeholder . He hoped the study between the Badung Regency Government and geologists could suppress the cracks of the Uluwatu cliffs.

Future plans, of course OPD related (Public Works Agency of the Province of Bali) will coordinate with the Badung Regency Government, because it is under the authority of the Badung Regency Government. Maybe you need to work together with the competent parties to study the geological factors and the conditions and the strength of the rocks there, to be able to take the right steps and actions,
