Autralian tourist wanted by Kuta police arrested after attacking Hotel staff near Bali Airport.

A man from Melbourne detained by the Bali police for attacking hotel staff was allegedly running away from agents for another assault.

 

Charlton John Thorn, 42, was arrested on Thursday afternoon for a violent outburst at the Novotel Hotel near the Denpasar Airport.

The Balinese media report that Thorn was denied a hotel check-in after providing only a watch but no form of identification.

Local media reports suggest that Thorn was denied check-in at the hotel after providing a clock,

but no identity document, before attacking a staff member. 

He is therefore accused of going "berserk" and "annoying comfort" in the lobby area, forcing the security staff to intervene.

It is said that Thorn assaulted the staff while being taken out, causing one

The airport police who arrived to arrest the vacationer later discovered that he was also wanted by the police in Kuta allegedly for another assault.

Thorn continues to be detained in the Kuta police station.
