Three foreign fugitives wanted by Interpol arrested in Bali and extradite to their home country.

Bali Police and Immigration of Ngurah Rai Airport Arrest Three Interpol Fugitives.

 

The Bali Regional Police in cooperation with the Immigration of Ngurah Rai International Airport arrested three foreign nationals who were wanted by Interpol. 

Aleksandra Nevodnichaia (31) from Russia, Han Dongheon (58) from Korea and Robert Lleyton Smidl (51) from Czech. 

The arrest of the three foreigners was based on the red notice sent by Interpol through the International Relations Division of the Indonesian National Police.

Reskrimum Deputy Chief of the Bali Regional Police, AKBP Sugeng Sudarso, SH, SIK, MM said that his side together with Immigration arrested three foreigners in different places. First, Aleksandra Nevodnichaia was secured by Immigration officers when they were checked in and were about to leave for Singapore on Saturday (1/12).

Then on Sunday (2/12), members of the Bali Regional Police Ditreskrimum made a temporary arrest and detention of the fugitive from the Iron Curtain Country. He is suspected of committing a crime of fraudulent money amounting to 4,373,570 rubles in the Russian state.

Secondly, Han Dongheon was secured by Immigration officers when he entered Bali through the entrance of I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport on Tuesday (4/12/2018).

 Furthermore, on Wednesday (5/12) there was a temporary arrest and detention of him, for allegedly committing a criminal act of fraud in the amount of 2.5 million US Dollars in Korea.

Third, the Bali Police Reskrimum Directorate arrested Robert Lleyton Smidl on Jalan Tukad Balian No. 178 Sidakarya, South Denpasar on Tuesday (11/12). Fugitives who have a passport number 41383567 are temporarily detained for allegedly involved in criminal acts of fraud in the Czech state.

"The three foreign nationals will be appealed from NCB Interpol Indonesia's representatives to each of the Police Attache representatives at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport on Thursday (13/12/2018 ) and Friday (12/14)/2018 

The former Karangasem police chief explained that so far the Bali Police had handled many similar cases. Bali as an international tourist destination, of course, many actors who come to Bali, then arrested and deported to their country.

These individuals suspected  of criminal offenses abroad deliberately fled to countries that became tourism places. In the hope that they will not be monitored when they run to countries targeted by foreign tourists.

During 2017 , 12 red notice that we handle, 4 extradited and 8 deported. Then for 2018, there were handled 10 red notice. One is extradited and the rest is in the process.

Meanwhile, Representative of the Indonesian NCB Interpol Indonesia Divhubinter, Brigadier Dipo Ramdhanu, said the success of the arrest of the three foreign nationals was a proof of the synergy between law enforcement agencies in Indonesia, in this case the Bali Police, Bali Immigration and Interpol Jakarta. He also thanked the Bali Regional Police and Immigration for the performance in handling the red notice carried out within the framework of the Interpol collaboration.

"We hope that the arrest of these three foreigners will be a warning to criminals who will enter Indonesia. We are still working and we are still upholding the law even though you commit acts of crime outside but we can still arrest you here, "said Brigadier Dipo Ramdhanu.

 
Bali police also still looking for prison escapee Shaun Davidson
Davidson was jailed in Bali for using another man’s passport. He was also wanted for drug charges in Perth before he spent a year in Indonesia and was subsequently arrested. In a Facebook post he wrote on Aug. 19, he denied the allegations against him in Perth. He explained that he just didn’t have the faith in the system to face the charges.He was sentenced to one year in prison and fined 100 million rupiah (AU$10,000), but he opted to serve extra five months instead of paying the fine. He had just two months and 15 days remaining on his sentence before his escape.
He has been goading authorities since. On the Facebook page Shaun Rageone Davidson, believed to be his, he has posted statuses claiming he was enjoying different sites in Dubai, Barbados, Germany and Amsterdam among other places.
