PLN Bali insist to reduce power usage with 20 % from 6 to 10 PM to avoid cuts until Jan 4 th 2019.
Improving the power installations in Bali is the main target of PLN by 2019 with fforts to increase reliability needed to be made both from the generator, transmission and distribution network.
This has been done by PLN both with maintenance and addition of networks. Especially on the generation side, increased reliability continues to be carried out through maintenance of generating machines on a regular basis. Maintenance is also arranged in stages so that large plants do not exit the system simultaneously.
The maintenance service of three generating units at Celukan Bawang PLTU is being carried out until January 4, 2019. This maintenance will affect the electricity supply in Bali.
We request the cooperation of the entire community to reduce electricity consumption by 10 to 20 percent, especially during peak hours (6:00 to 22:00 hours)," said the Senior Manager of Commerce and Customer Service at the PLN Handoko Distribution Main Unit in Bali
Reducing electricity consumption can be done by turning on the lights sufficiently, turning off unused electrical appliances, using large power electronics (irons, washing machines, rice cookers, hair dryers, microwaves, etc.) in the morning.
