Many Travellers who want to celebrate Christmas and New Year have been delayed on Saturday at 5.30 PM ( 12/22/2018 ) on the Bali Strait whenre the ferry service been forced to closed caused by the heavy rain and wind . 

Around 17.00 a thick cloud occurred over the waters of the Bali Strait.Shortly afterwards there was a tornado from the village in Asri neighborhood, Gilamanuk. The tornado then moved to the west. Luckily the tornado passed far above so that they did not cause any damage on the land.

Although it did not cause damage, but because the tornado passed in the Bali Strait, above the track of the ship that served the crossing it was very dangerous for the shipping of the ship.Moreover, at the same time followed by heavy rain. Due to wind speeds of around 15 knots and heavy rains, the visibility of the Master is limited.

For sailing safety, the Port Executing Unit has decided to postpone the crossing from 17.30am.

We are delaying the temporary crossing due to heavy rain and strong winds which cause fog so that visibility is limited," said UPP Head Gilimanuk Nyoman Suryantha.
