Capsized Ferry at Padang Bai still not evacuated
Capsized Ferry Padang Bai on Friday Jun 12 th 2020 is 9 days later still not evacuated what's upsetting many passengers who still have their belongings onboard. According one of the passengers named Sumardayasa have all passengers their cars, motorcycles, and trucks still onboard and are not able to travel any further currently.
The ferry was carrying 33 vehicles and 65 passengers from Lembar in Lombok . It capsized in Bali after running aground trying to dock in a harbour.65 passengers and crew members were forced to abandon ship after the Ro-Ro KMP Dharma Rucitra III ferry took on water, tilted on its side and then capsized
Today Monday June 22 nd 2020, 9 days after the incident is there still no date decided when the evacuation will take place. This troubles not only the passengers but also the truck drivers who have big losses who didn't receive any information concerning the compensation and insurance claims to be provided by the ship
The direction of the Darma Rucitra III in Padangbai confirmed that they have technical issues that delays the evacuation . First section wil be to lowering the ship to unload all vehicles and trucks before it will be able to lift the ferry what wil be still a difficult task .
