The Bali Vegan Festival was established by Down To Earth Bali in 2015 with the aim of inspiring people to choose a healthier, compassionate, ethical lifestyle through plant-based eating. Now in its third year, the festival hopes to fuel a global movement by joining a number of progressive-minded communities around the world who host plant-based festivals from Nigeria to Romania.

The festival is open to all, proud vegans, vivacious vegetarians, omnivores, flexitarians and the vegan-curious. We hope that through expert education, cooking demos’, talks, fantastic vegan products and community discussions we can expand the plant-based community and spread the message of one peaceful world through nutrition.

Inspiring a Cruelty-Free Lifestyle!

“If slaughterhouses had glass walls, we would all be vegetarian.” ― Paul McCartney

The Bali Vegan Festival seeks to unite the community and spread a message of kindness, compassion and love for animals and the earth. We are dedicated to the proposition that World Peace and universal consciousness starts with each of us cultivating an inner sense of compassion for ourselves and others.

We believe in nourishing the body and soul through organic plant-based food, yoga, meditation and promoting a healthy, cruelty-free lifestyle.

A Community Event

The Vegan Festival features food and drinks from restaurants across Bali and beyond. Entry to the Ubud Soccer Field (The Vegan Village) is free and will feature yoga classes, a vegan marketplace and daily entertainment. Talks, cooking classes, workshops and screenings can be accessed by purchasing a daily or weekend pass.

Local residents receive 50% off ticket prices with the presentation of their KTP – making the festival as accessible as possible for all the community to enjoy.

Past festivals have featured a children’s circus, family-friendly films and documentaries, art and craft workshops, children’s yoga and all-ages entertainment throughout the weekend. Educating the next generation and informing our children about Organic, Macrobiotic, Raw, and Vegan lifestyles is key to real change.

Now more than ever we need to come together with our cumulative knowledge and insights to reaffirm, en masse, our dedication to cruelty-free living. Come and meet with like-minded individuals so we can show the power of communal action. As long as we stand together we can bring about “One Peaceful World Through Nutrition.”
