American influencer facing deportation on next available flight from Bali for misusing her visa reports but she says because of her sexuality. Immigration officials in Bali on Tuesday summoned American citizen Kristen Gray who has been living in the resort island for more than a year for allegedly misusing her visa. 
The move came after a thread from her Twitter account went viral as she detailed how she and her girl friend could enjoy an “elevated lifestyle at a much lower cost of living” during their stay and promoted her e-book titled “Our Bali Life is Yours ". It’s a guide breaking down how we did it and how you can do it too,” Gray wrote in the now-deleted tweet.The government has imposed restrictions on international arrivals from certain countries since April last year and completely shut down the country last month amid reports on new strain of coronavirus. Arvin said Gray is currently living in Karangasem District and local authorities have collected data about her passport and stay permit. In the Twitter thread, Gray wrote that she and her girl friend booked one-way flights to Bali in December 2019 with an initial plan of staying for six months to “stack some bread and elevate our lifestyle.”
I was broke, struggling to find work the entire year of 2019 and I wanted to take a stab at entrepreneurship,” she wrote.According to her tweet, she immediately found an elevated lifestyle in the island, comparing two photographs of her apartment room in Los Angeles and of her current residence in Bali. I was paying $1,300 for my LA studio. Now I have a treehouse for $400. Dec. 2019 on the left... Jan 2021 on the right,” she said of the photos.
In March, when the pandemic hit and our 6-month plan went out the window, we decided to stay in Bali to “wait it out” and we’ve been here ever since,” she wrote.Gray, who runs a graphic design business, also said 2020 was “the best year” for her even during the quarantine period, as she was able to focus on her works “without the dictation of the American news or political drama.
Gray mentioned her version of major benefits of moving to Bali, which include "safety, low cost of living, luxury lifestyle, queer friendly and black in Bali community". She also posted a photo of black community in the island.There’s a whole community of black folks on the island. This was taken after the murder of George Floyd. We met up to be in community and love on each other,” she wrote.Her e-book is priced at $30.

Eko Budianto, the head of the Immigration Division of the Bali Regional Office told local media that Kristen Gray previously rented a villa in Nusa Dua that she left two months ago. On Monday 18/01/2021 the immigration officers went to Ubud where Kristen Gray should be a present and alsovisited her sponsor on the Jalan Sunset Road in Kuta.

In Bali, Covid numbers are rapidly increasing with 579 deaths and more than 20,255 confirmed cases.As a result, Bali has declared Denpasar, Badung, Jembrana, Tabanan, and Gianyar as red zones.

The first person to vaccinated in Bali wil be the Governor of Bali , before the Bali Police Chief, Chairman of the Bali District Court, director Sanglah General Hospital and all doctors and medical personnel in Bali after the officials and health workers are vaccinated the general public who meet the requirements will be next.

Bali bombings survivors furious about Abu Bakar Bashir earlier release from an Indonesian prison on Friday January 8 th 2021 Bashir was the spiritual leader of Jemaah Islamiah - the terror group behind the 2002 bombings that killed 202 people including 88 Australians. He was initially jailed over the terror attack, but his conviction was quashed on appeal.

Andrew Csabi, a survivor of the bombings, says he was handed a life sentence when he walked into the Sari Club in Bali 18 years ago.
Now a double amputee, Mr Csabi says he is grief-stricken and furious at Bashir’s release.
“Eighteen years doesn't make much of a difference when you witness mass murder and what I went through,” he told SBS News. “Obviously your daily challenges, having lost a leg above the knee and half a foot in a terrorist bombing.“I really don’t believe he has changed his ways,” Mr Csabi said of Bashir. “I don’t believe he’s repented, taken responsibility or apologised for his involvement in it.”
Mr Csabi was metres away from the catastrophic bomb that took his leg and half the other foot. He lay in the rubble for hours before he was found and came about as close to death as a person can and get to tell the tale.

socialite Richard Muljadi booked all seats on Jakarta-Bali flight because "we ain't flying unless it's just us". 
While it isn't rare to book out flights for big groups or business executives especially in Covid times, a Jakarta socialite has caught attention for booking an entire flight for just two passengers because "we ain't flying unless it's just us". Richard Muljadi had reportedly booked the two-hour flight between Jakarta to Bali for fear of getting infected with Covid-19, indicating in his Instagram stories that both he and his wife are "super paranoid" when it comes to the coronavirus.

Richard Muljadi came in the news in October 2020 when he was escorted with two police officers on the JL By Pass Ngurah Rai in Denpasar. The police has been slammed after the video being circulated on social media after the incident and the Head of Public Relations of the Bali Police, Kombes Syamsi stated that police can only escort community activities and not escorting private services for their own benefit during their duty. He has been mostly in the news with drug related news and arrested on several occasions.
